Quality Informed by State-of-the Art Digital Gaging
At Williams Tool, quality is more than a buzz phrase or a plaque on the wall; it is the reason we are here. Our approach to quality means maintaining compliance with ISO:9001 2008 standards, but that is just the beginning. At Williams Tool, the quest for quality means striving for nothing less than 100% Customer Satisfaction by machining the finest high-precision metal parts and components on the market.
To that end, we give our engineers and technicians every advantage to help them achieve their best daily, which means investing in technology like state-of-the-art digital gaging.
The Tech Advantage
Williams integrates leading innovations in digital gaging into its inspection software for real-time analysis. We also utilize optical comparators during our in-process inspections. The latest addition to our quality system is an optical, automatic smart-inspection system that adds yet another dimension to total quality control.
Digital Gaging
Part inspection entered the digital age with digital gaging, an advanced system used to measure and inspect various parameters of manufactured parts. When it comes to sensitivity and accuracy, digital gaging is unrivaled. With our lineup of digital gaging equipment, including micrometers, height gages, tri-roll thread gages, and more, there is virtually no flaw or irregularity that can easily escape detection.
Optical Comparators
An optical comparator can measure and inspect a part with great precision, comparing it to a completed part or the programmed specifications. Optical comparators measure using laser light projection, so there is no actual direct contact with the part itself.
Automatic Smart Inspection
Advanced optical inspection equipment can analyze every part in multiple dimensions simultaneously. It can detect anomalies and defects as small as one–ten-thousandth of an inch. (That is thirty times smaller than the diameter of a human hair.)
The latest addition to our Smart Inspection lineup is the Sarrett AVR300 CNC “Field of View” vision system. With this new machine, we can gather measurements accurately with 12”x 8”x 8” travel and Z-axis measuring.
These highly advanced tools are essential components of quality control at Williams Tool. We rely on them to help us achieve 100% Customer Satisfaction while keeping our operations at peak capacity, producing products of the highest quality on tight deadlines, at competitive prices.
