Multitasking CNC Machining & Robotic Loading
CNC Multitasking & Simultaneous Turning
Williams Tool regularly invests in advanced CNC machining tools to give our customers the greatest advantage. CNC multitasking, simultaneous turning machines, and robotic loading systems are just the beginning of the advanced technologies we employ to maximize our productivity and efficiency while further enhancing the quality of our output.

Multitasking/Simultaneous Turning with the WY-100II & WY-150

The new and innovative Nakamura-Tome WY-100II and WY-150 represent the industry standard when it comes to multitasking. These state-of-the-art machines each feature two high-rigidity turrets, both offering Y-Axis functionality. In addition to the already significant advantages of simultaneous machining on the left- or right-hand spindles, the introduction of Y-Axis on both upper and lower turrets potentiates further productivity.
Whether machining with multiple tools on one side or using both left and right concurrently, benefit from drastically reduced production times and better-than-ever accuracy and repeatability.
The WY-100II and WY-150 bring high-speed, dual-turret machining within reach. Here are some of the benefits you can expect:.
- Two turrets and two spindles for finished parts in a single setup
- Serious machining capabilities
- Simultaneous turning and milling
- Catcher and conveyor system protects parts from damage
Robotic Loading
Robotic loading is a high-tech solution to a fundamental problem: it eliminates the time-consuming need for technicians to physically load and unload parts into the collet for machining as they are moved through the shop. Williams Tool maximizes efficiency by using advanced robotics to load and unload workpieces in its manufacturing processes.

Fanuc Robotic Auto Loaders

By installing Fanuc Robotic Auto Loaders on 13 of our Hardinge Conquest GT Super Precision Gang Tool CNC Lathes, we have enabled our techs to run multiple machines without the burden of unloading and reloading parts into the machine collets to start the machining process. Now, they can spend their time doing the more rewarding and productive work of making and inspecting parts. This has helped optimize production throughout the shop.
The Fanuc loaders also pick up finished parts and place them in the appropriate spot to keep them safe from any nicks, dents, or scratches. Our robotic loading systems are highly flexible and can be programmed to handle a variety of different parts, making them ideal for our low-volume, high-mix production with frequent changeovers.
By integrating robotics into our workflow, Williams is one step closer to optimal automation on our production lines. Both multitasking machines and robotic loading help Williams Tool reduce cycle times, minimize costly manual labor, improve consistency and accuracy, and increase overall productivity in manufacturing operations.
